GUILT
The shadow of this dark cloud
Haunts my world
When you stared through the shroud
My head swirled
You lay there still and cold
Yet your eyes blink
Your skin was once a pretty shade of gold
But is now merely an ice rink
You’re cold to the touch
Yet your breath is warm
Seeing you like this hurts so much
But it’s time for you to change form
It’s worse when I go to bed
And hide under the quilt
With eyes sore and red
I embrace the guilt
